If there is magic on this planet, it is contained in water. LORAN EISELY, The Immense Journey, 1957

Last year:
H2O orgained a run for water in the city of Modesto, California in June 2010. Being our first public activity, the turnout was amazing and overwhelming. We constantly thank our friends and supporters for running with us and raising over 2000 dollars.

Nyarutojo Primary school water:
The sub-county of Nyarutojo in Kambuga, Kanungu District has one of the poorest sanitation and water situations in the entire district. At Nyarutojo primary school, the children drank water that flowed out of a stagnant puddle refilled by streams flowing out of a mount side. H2O was asked to partner with them to put an end to this life threatening situation.

Being our first project, we worked to build a well that holds 15,000Liters with a team that responded from Uganda, USA, and Sweden.

What we are doing today:
Next January 2012, the leaders of H2O are planning a trip to Uganda with the goal of constructing a well in a very remote village of Kayonza, home to one of the indigenous and diminishing pygmy people. The main water beneficiaries will be the 200 children who go to the new pygmy primary school.
The water source is 1.2km away so we have to dig a trech and lay pipe to convey the water to the school and share the water with the communities along the way whose families will be helping to lay the pipe and providing some materials such as stones and sand.
