Water has become a highly precious resource. There are some places where a barrel of water costs more than a barrel of oil. Lloyd Axworthy, Foreign Minister of Canada (1999 - News Conference)

WHY ITS ABOUT WATER

Water, sanitation and Health:
According to the world health organization, more people die every year due to diseases from lack of safe water and basic sanitation. Global statistics state that chldren under 5 years old account for nearly 90% of 120,000 deaths that occure ever month due to preventable water borne diseases.

Technology for Water:
There are many water drilling and filtration technologies. H2O finds the best fit for the situation of the community or school we partner with.
Bio sand water filter: This filter mimics the water table and eliminates pathogens up to 98.9%, add a couple tea spoons of chlorine, the water is 100% safe to drink.

At any one time, 54% of all the all hospital beds in the world are occupied by people sufereing from a water-related illness. Diarrhea is still the biggest killer in the world. More than 85% is caused by consumption of unsafe water, lack of proper sanitation and an unavailability of water for personal hygiene.

Water and Education
Due to the lack of clean water, children get sick and miss school. When they miss school, it affects their instruction in the basics of human empowerment;science, mathematics, language and civics. For areas that have water, many children have to leave school early so as to walk long distances to fetch water which make them too tired to complete home work. In addiction, they have to wake up early in the morning so as to fetch enough water for house hold use when they are away all day.  Every year, almost 500million school days are lost due to the lack of safe water in school.
